Thanks to the stumbled Tv series “Friends, ” which first aired in 1994, Courteney Cox and the show’s other five aces have been in the limelight for more than two decades. No skepticism that kind of stardom accompanies a lot of pressures.
Opening up on Monday’s episode of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls, ” Cox talked candidly about proliferating older in the public eye.
Grylls asked if she felt “pressure to look a certain way” in Hollywood.
“Yeah, for certain, ” The 52 -year-old replied. “Just being a woman in this business … going older is not the most wonderful thing. But I have learned readings. I thoughts I was trying to keep up with being older … it’s something you can’t keep up with.”
Cox has talked openly in the past about her employment of cosmetic procedures including Botoxand lasers to “prolong to inevitable.” “If it shapes you feel better about yourself and it’s done properly, then fine, ” she said in 2011.
But since then, it seems she’s changed her tune.
Though Hollywood and social media trolls, she says can shape her feel “bad about myself, ” she says her new expectation is to allow sort take its route. “Just let it be, ” she told Grylls.
“I have done things that I regret, and fortunately they’re things that dissolve and go away, so that’s good, because that’s not always the case my best gaze, ” she said in reference to her usage of cosmetic procedures.
Referring to her efforts to look more boyish, Cox aded that “You find yourself trying, and then you look at a picture of yourself and travel’ Oh, God, I search horrible’.”
( Cox’s “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston has already been spoken out against Botox, saying it exclusively makes actresses look “older” and “insecure.”)
The actress sounded makeup-free as she trekked into a remote part of Ireland with the TV emcee. “For what it’s worth, the natural you is just amazing and spectacular, ” Grylls said.
We couldn’t agree more. There’s nothing more beautiful than aging naturally.
